Enjoy an evening of witty banter and laugh-out-loud humor as powerhouse contemporary romance writer Rachel Gibson, the New York Times bestselling author of Rescue Me, and Jennifer Bernard, author of the fabulous Bachelor Fireman series, discuss their writing and what’s so sexy about men in uniforms at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17 at the Clark County Library , 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
Gibson’s latest, Run to You, is the tale of a tough retired Navy SEAL who meets his match in a woman on the run. While Bernard’s How to Tame a Wild Fireman is set in fictional Loveless, Nevada, a hotshot fireman returns home to fight a massive wildfire and ends up with sparks flying when he reconnects with his brother’s best friend.
Gibson lives in Idaho with her husband, three kids, two cats, and a dog. She began her fiction career at age 16, when she ran her car into the side of a hill. She’s been making up stories ever since, although she gets paid better for them nowadays.
Bernard is a graduate of Harvard and a former news promo producer. She left big city life for true love in Alaska, where she now lives with her husband and stepdaughters.
A book signing for both authors and reception will follow the talk. Presented in conjunction with Avon Books, an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers. The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call 702-507-3459.
