The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will host An Evening with Bob Miller on Thursday, September 5 at 7 p.m. at the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
Former Nevada Governor Bob Miller and Steve Sebelius, Las Vegas Review-Journal political columnist, will discuss Miller’s early life in Chicago to his reign as the longest-serving governor in Nevada history. Along the way his life path crossed with some “colorful characters,” prominent politicians, and historic moments proving that he knew how to be in the right place at the right time.
This Vegas Valley Book Festival pre-event is free and open to the public. A book signing and reception will follow the talk. Copies of Miller’s book, Son of a Gambling Man: My Journey from a Casino Family to the Governor’s Mansion, will be available for sale at the door. Additional support is provided by Thomas Dunne Books, an imprint of St. Martin’s Press.
