The Digital Bookmobile is Coming!

DigitalBookMobile

The Digital Bookmobile, an immersive download experience inside a 74-foot, high-tech tractor-trailer, is pulling into the Summerlin Library on Monday, March 25, and the Clark County Library on Tuesday, March 26. Both events are from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Readers of all ages are invited to experience digital downloading through interactive demonstrations and experience the Library District’s audiobook, eBook, music and video download service at this free event. The Digital Bookmobile is equipped with broadband Internet-connected PCs, high definition monitors, premium sound systems and a variety of portable media players. Anyone who takes a tour of the Digital Bookmobile will receive an entry into a drawing for a chance to win a Sony eReader. The drawing will take place at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, and the winner need not be present to win.

You can take advantage of the download service when you visit the District’s eMedia Catalog on our website. The Library offers downloadable music and videos, and eBooks and eAudiobooks for use on a PC or Mac computer and popular mobile devices such as a Smartphone, MP3 player, and eBook readers like the Barnes & Noble® Nook™ and Sony® Reader. You can also download popular and classic eBooks to a Kindle device or any mobile device running the free Kindle app, such as iPhone®, iPad®, Android™, and more. At the end of the lending period, titles will automatically expire and are returned to the digital collection. There are never late fees or damaged items.
