Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Summer Reading Program — Join the Fun!

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Summer Reading Program continues through Saturday, August 6. The free Summer Reading Program offers children, teens and their families the opportunity to share reading time together and attend special guest programs while keeping track of their reading successes. Summer reading helps children keep their brains active and enter school in the fall ready to learn and succeed.

Children from birth to age 5 can join the Rubber Ducky Reading Club. Choose from among 12 activities that help develop early literacy skills and earn prizes. Kids in kindergarten through grade 5 can join One World, Many Stories. They choose their reading goal and when they reach a milestone they will earn a Book Buck to exchange for one item at one of the Library District Foundation’s Used Bookstores. When they reach their goal, they’ll earn a certificate, a pass to the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum (LDCM) and an entry into a prize drawing to win a birthday party at LDCM. You are Here is the program for teens in grades six and up. Teens who reach a milestone earn a Book Buck, and when they reach their goal, they will earn a book and an entry into a drawing for a Target gift card.
