The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District is looking for public input concerning changes to the policies and user fees governing the use of its specialized spaces, such as meeting rooms, auditoriums, lecture halls and theaters located within the various branches.
As a resource to the community, the Library District rents out its specialized spaces to community groups and other organizations on a first-come, first-served basis based on a Board adopted fee schedule.
Currently the Library District operates under a fee schedule that was adopted in 1994. Increasing rental fees to a more relevant and updated fee structure would allow the Library District to recoup some of its out-of-pocket costs associated with operating these specialized spaces.
The public meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 23, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the multipurpose room of the Las Vegas Library, 833 Las Vegas Boulevard North.
