16th Annual Shoes for Children Drive and Benefit Performances

The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will host its 16th annual Shoes for Children Drive and Benefit Performances at 6:30 p.m., Friday, December 17, and 2 p.m., Saturday, December 18, at the West Las Vegas Library, 951 West Lake Mead Boulevard.

“What’s Going On? The Reality High School Musical” performed by Kids for a Better Society, Inc. (KFABS), under the direction of Fannie Mitchell, features teenagers from different social, economic and racial backgrounds, tackling the issues our young people are facing today by offering hope through music, dance and acting.

Admission to these benefit performance events is one new pair of children’s athletic shoes sized to fit preschoolers to high school youth. Donations will also be accepted from November 15 through December 23 at all District branches of the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District for those unable to attend the concert.

For more information, please visit www.lvccld.org or call the West Las Vegas Library at 507-3989. Donated shoes will benefit neighboring schools and local charities.
