The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District celebrates Teen Read Week October 17―23. Teen Read Week is a national program designed to encourage teens to take time out from their busy schedules to read, just for the fun of it.
This year’s theme is read “Books with Beat @ your library®. Teens are invited to check out a variety of materials, including poetry, audiobooks, books about music, and more.
By completing three out of eight library activities, teens will be eligible for a chance to win a “Books with Beat” prize. They will also get a small prize just for signing up. Contest dates are from October 1 through 23, and one winner will be selected from each of the 24 branches.
Teen Read Week is a great time to make sure teens and their families know about all the free services the library can offer them. For more information on dates, times and locations for all the free programs, call 734-READ or visit the Teen Read Week page on our web site.
