New Member Appointed to Library District Board of Trustees
Marilyn Francis Drake was recently appointed to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Board of Trustees by the City of Las Vegas.
Ms. Drake is a librarian at the Meadows School. Her term will run through April 2017.

Library District Board Holds Elections
At the June 14, 2012, Board of Trustees’ Meeting, regularly scheduled elections for Board officers were held. Kelly Benavidez was re-elected to the position of Chair. Ron Kirsh was re-elected Vice Chair, Keiba Crear was re-elected Secretary and Michael Saunders was re-elected Treasurer. All terms are for the period beginning July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013.
The other Board members are Shannon Bilbray-Axelrod, Sheila Moulton, Randy Ence, Carol Reese, Robin Wadley-Munier and Ydoleena Yturralde.

New Member Appointed to Library District Board of Trustees
Robin Wadley-Munier was recently appointed to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Board of Trustees by the City of Las Vegas. She was appointed to fill the unexpired term of M. Frances Barron.
Ms. Wadley-Munier is the liaison to Las Vegas City Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian. Her term will run through April 2013.

New Member Appointed to Library District Board of Trustees
Sheila Moulton was recently appointed to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Board of Trustees by the Clark County Commission. She replaces outgoing Board Member Verlia Davis-Hoggard.
Ms. Moulton previously served as a trustee on the Clark County School District Board. Her term will run through August 8, 2015.

New Member Joins Board of Trustees
Ms. Shannon Bilbray-Axelrod was appointed to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Board of Trustees by the Clark County Commission to serve the remainder of the term of Trustee Liz Carrasco.
Her term will run through March 1, 2013.

Windmill Library Opens
Scores of community residents, eager to start using their neighborhood library, turned out on Saturday, May 7, to witness the ribbon cutting ceremony that opened the Library District’s newest branch at 7060 West Windmill Lane at South Rainbow Boulevard. The ceremony featured the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s honor guard, remarks by the Library District’s Executive Director Jeanne Goodrich, Board Vice Chair Kelly Benavidez, and Clark County Commissioner Susan Brager.

New Member Appointed to Library District Board of Trustees
Ms. Ydoleena Yturralde was appointed to the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District’s Board of Trustees by the Las Vegas City Council. She replaces outgoing Board Chair Aldo A. Aguirre, Ph.D. Ms. Yturralde is the liaison for Councilman Ricki Barlow. Her term will run through April 2015.
