Libraries Closed for Labor Day
All Las Vegas-Clark County Library District branches will be closed on Monday, September 3 for Labor Day. They will reopen at their usual times on Tuesday, September 4.

Join us for a pre-festival event of the Vegas Valley Book Festival, as Cheryl Strayed, the New York Times bestselling author of Wild, Tiny Beautiful Things and Torch, discusses her works in an uncensored conversation with author Maile Chapman on Wednesday, September 26 at 7 p.m. at the Clark County Library.
Oprah Winfrey selected Wild as the first book for her Oprah’s Book Club 2.0, and the memoir has been optioned for film by Reese Witherspoon’s production company. Strayed has published award-winning stories and essays in the New York Times Magazine, Allure and Elle to name a few. (more…)
