Libraries Closed for Nevada Day
All Las Vegas-Clark County Library District branches will be closed Friday, October 28 for Nevada Day. They will reopen at their usual times on Saturday, October 29.
An Afternoon with Author Patricia Nell Warren
Join special guest author Patricia Nell Warren as she shares her book My West at the Clark County Library on Sunday, October 23 at 2 p.m.
Warren will speak about growing up on the Grant Kohrs Ranch in Deer Lodge and her long career as a “front runner” in gay fiction. In her new anthology, My West, she unveils a collection of intensely personal writings about the American West – its past, present and future. In My West she collects a sagebrush bouquet of 47 favorites on everything from agriculture to zest, by way of cooking, ethnicity, history, politics and sexuality. (more…)
Zappos, Inc., Kicks Off Library District Foundation Speaker Series
Jamie Naughton, Speaker of the House for Zappos, Inc., will be the keynote for the Library District Foundation’s launch of the FAST FORWARD VEGAS speaker series.
